Barbados superstars 2 Mile Hill have a long list of changes queued up for 2016: new music, US tour and a complete rebrand, to name a few. Formerly known as NexCyx, the rap-rock army announce a new identity as 2 Mile Hill, but maintain the same polish and prowess with "It's Over" and the entirety of the forthcoming Uncovered EP, available everywhere June 24. After performing with some of music's biggest names, including Wyclef Jean, , Erykah BaduAngie Stone and Damian Marley, it's hard to grasp that the band's original form was born out of a college experiment. Before putting forward their second EP, André (keyboardist), Chadd (drummer), Kris (bassist), Mahalia (lead vocalist) and Russell (guitarist) transformed into 2 Mile Hill. The new moniker pays full homage to the Barbados landscape that introduced the five musicians and continues to infuse their sound. "It's Over" exudes empowerment -- the rhymes have conviction and the vocals are peppered with unexpected electric guitar riffs making for a roller coaster ride of genres and instrumentation. 2 Mile Hill's new single is both aggressive and dance-able and a perfect way to invite its worldwide fans along for a new ride. The five-piece has mastered a formula for loop-worthy records that are hits both on radio and on stage and have grabbed mainstream praise from MTV and Ryan Seacrest and attention from Louis Vuitton, Moetand Hennessy. Their bombastic live show climbs new heights with every new stage, and 2 Mile Hill is set to bring that energy to the states this summer.
